Our History


Shalina Resources buys the Mount Gordon SX/EW plant from Australia and ships it to Lubumbashi to be built next to the PP2 plant. It commissions the first phase of the Copper EW facility at Usoke Plant with a design capacity of 16,000tons copper cathodes annually. It also begins construction of the Copper SX facility. The aim being to produce pure metals within the DRC.

As the Company looks to steadily expand its production it begins construction of a 500tpd sulphuric acid plant located at Etoile mine. This is to meet its growing demand for sulphuric acid.

Shalina begins construction of the cobalt cathode SX/EW plant with its design capacity of 6,000 tons annually.
